India’s First Transmedia Entertainment City: ‘Creatorland’

Government of Andhra Pradesh has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CreativeLand Asia (CLA) to develop ‘Creatorland’, India’s inaugural Transmedia Entertainment City. Announced at the WAVES Summit 2025 in Mumbai

The Creatorland Academy will be established to train over 10,000 youth annually in cutting-edge domains such as Visual Effects (VFX), Artificial Intelligence (AI), gaming, and immersive storytelling .

The project is projected to attract investments ranging from ₹8,000 to ₹10,000 crore over the next 5–6 years. It is expected to generate approximately 25,000 direct jobs and over 1.5 lakh indirect employment opportunities across sectors like entertainment, technology, and tourism .

Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh highlighted that this initiative is more than an infrastructure project; it’s a commitment to building an ecosystem for talent, innovation, and tourism .
