Adobe MAX 2024 Unveils New AI-Driven Projects, Including Project Scenic

At Adobe MAX 2024, nine groundbreaking projects were showcased by Adobe’s team of researchers and scientists, pushing the boundaries of creativity and technology.

One of the highlights was Project Scenic, a tool that brings the power of 3D layout to Adobe’s Firefly generative AI suite.

Project Scenic allows users to create 2D images by generating 3D layouts through simple text prompts. For example, typing “a night campsite with fire” generates a 3D scene populated with low-resolution assets.

These layouts serve as compositional guides for Firefly’s AI, helping determine the placement of objects and the camera angle for the final 2D image.

Users can easily refine the layout, moving objects with standard 3D controls and adjusting the camera using keyboard inputs or additional prompts like “top view of the tents” or “look at the campfire.” The tool also allows users to refine the final 2D image by assigning specific text descriptions to individual 3D objects.

This innovative approach merges 3D and AI, offering creators new ways to visualize and perfect their designs. Project Scenic is expected to unlock exciting possibilities for professionals and hobbyists alike.
