Adobe has launched Substance 3D Modeler 1.18, introducing a series of bug fixes and workflow improvements for users. The update focuses on enhancing export options and refining functionality when working with 3D primitives.

Primitive to Clay Conversion
- Converting primitives to clay objects now ensures the correct material is assigned automatically.
- Linked groups or components within primitive containers can now be set to the None Combine mode.
- Parameters for primitives and grouped primitives are accessible, allowing users to update all primitives in a selection simultaneously.
Export Improvements
- A new “Use Local Space” parameter has been added for exporting. When enabled, selected objects are exported with their origin set at the exported file’s origin point.
- The File > Export command now reliably opens the Export panel, regardless of the user’s current mode or open panels.
