You might not be familiar with Viggle AI, but chances are you’ve seen some of their viral memes floating around. This Canadian AI startup is behind a bunch of those hilarious videos where rapper Lil Yachty is bouncing around on stage at a summer music festival.
The twist? They’ve used their tech to remix the whole scene. In one of the most popular clips, they’ve swapped out Lil Yachty for none other than Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker. Yep, it’s as wild as it sounds!
“So far we’ve been relying on data that has been publicly available, Viggle’s training dataset included YouTube videos, ” said Chu
“We are essentially building a new type of graphics engine, but purely with neural networks,” said Chu in an interview. “The model itself is quite different from existing video generators, which are mainly pixel based.
Well It’s obviously not vfx production quality, but you can create a hilarious video of your friends and send it to them within 5 minutes. Technology like this doesn’t go from 0-100 instantly.
